Essential Question 3 ch. 9
Protiens regulate the cell cycle by signaling activites in thecelll cycle using cyclin and/or CDKcombinations which include DNA replication, protien sythesis, and nuclear division thought out the cell.
Essential Question 2 ch. 9
Eukaryotic cells reproduce by mitosis and cytokinesis by going through the cell cycle. THey go through interphase which prepares the cell for mytosis. In mitosis the nucleus divides through prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase. After the nucleui are ready to be slipt into separate cells then cytokinesis splits the cell into two separate cells.
Essential Question 1 ch. 9
Cells divide becasue if the cell gets to big then it is harder for cellular communication and to transport substances, and the ratio of surface area to volume. If the cell gets to big it will be harder and less efficent for the cell to get needed nutrients and eventually can die.

essential question 7.1
Hooke looked through a microscope at a piece of dead cork and saw what he called cells, which reminded him of the catecombs the monks lived it. Leevwenhoek made the modern da mircroscope and because he did this he was able to see the first living cells. Also because of the microscope the sciencetist, Virchow was able to see cells divide. Two scienctist named schledien and schwan made up the cell theory with all the information from these other scientists. The cell theory is:
-all organisms are made of one or more cells
-the cell is the basic unit of life
-all cells come from other cells
-all organisms are made of one or more cells

essential question 6.4
carbon based molecules are important to living things because they make up the structure of most things, for plants they use it to make food and we use it in everday things like clothes to keep us warm. We use them in clothes because clothes are made of polymers. There are also carbohydrates which we need for energy.

essential question 6.3
Water keeps homeostasis in the body by making it possible for enzymes to react and for other chemicals to react so they keep working, also your body needs it to survive and it regulates body temperature.

essential question 6.2
Chemical reactions are important in life because they make the food we have and items and utilites we use. An example of a chemical change is nail polish and water. We use these things everyday and without things like water we wouldnt survive.
